Philosophy, Religion and Theology
What practical impact can spirituality have on our everyday lives? What can we do to help different faiths understand each other and celebrate their common ground? How can faith be used to help young people who have no faith themselves?
In today's world, understanding religion and theology, the differences between faiths and cultures, what unites us and what divides us, is important as never before. Building religious and cultural tolerance is as critical as medical research and new scientific discoveries, and the need to apply our insights and understandings to a wider society, especially young people, has never been so pressing.
If you are interested in these issues, a degree in religion and theology is a perfect starting point.

"I came to a Brookes open day and it felt like somewhere I could settle into as my home. Staff at Brookes have a genuine passion for the subjects they're teaching, and genuine care for the students."
"I think this course is brilliant. It's about religion in an applied context, about how ideas apply to the rest of our lives, and it's very active learning – we're encouraged to shout if we disagree and start a debate."
