Postgraduate taught fees for international students

If you are studying at the University for a full academic year you can pay your tuition fees in instalments.

All international students on postgraduate taught courses must pay a non-refundable deposit of £1,000 as one of the conditions to secure their place at the University. Details of this payment will be sent to applicants with their application forms. This deposit will be deducted from their first tuition fees payment.

Specific tuition fees are detailed with the online information for each course.

For a full list of Foundation Diploma and English Language courses tuition fees, please visit the Oxford Brookes International website.

Paying your fees

International students

During the vacation period before you start your course, you will be sent an email containing instructions on how to complete your online enrolment and provide your tuition fee payment details online. Tuition fees should be paid in pounds sterling.

Paying in instalments

You can pay your tuition fees in full at the start of the academic year or in two equal instalments at the start of each semester - in September and January.

International student instalments for 2012 - 2013

  • Semester 1 is due on 10 September 2012
  • Semester 2 is due on 24 January 2013

Sponsors

If you have a sponsor, such as a commercial or charitable organisation who is paying your fees, you will need to provide an official letter of sponsorship from them. This letter should include: the invoice address, name of student and amount of sponsorship. We will then invoice them for the full fee amount, giving them 30 days to pay. Please note that if your sponsor fails to pay your fees, you will be liable.

Parents, family members or friends who may be paying your tuition fees are not classed as sponsors.

Refunds for international postgraduate students in 2012-2013

If you formally withdraw within four weeks of the start of  the semester we will normally refund tuition fees.

The refund policy does not apply to students of Oxford Brookes International or students who go on a residential course within the first four weeks of a semester.

Tuition fee changes

There has been some confusion recently about changes to fees for degree programmes at English universities.

UK Government ministers have voted for plans to allow universities in England to charge increased fees (up to £9,000 per year) for UK and EU students only. Fee increases for UK and EU students will take effect from September 2012.

However, this will not affect fees for international students, so the fees for international students for 2012 will remain as published.
