Undergraduate full-time tuition fees for continuing UK/EU students in 2012-2013
Please be aware that if you change your course, your mode of study or take a break from study that lasts for more than one year, you may have to pay the new-style higher rate tuition fees. If you are thinking of changing your current pattern of study please contact the Student Finance Office to find out how your fees may be affected.
As a full-time undergraduate continuing student your tuition fees entitle you to take eight modules per academic year. You can take more modules for an additional fee.
EU students pay the same fees as UK students. They are eligible for loans to cover the cost of tuition. However, loans for living costs are not available for EU students.

Excess modules
Your tuition fees entitles you to take up to eight modules during an academic year.
If you choose to take more modules, you will be charged an additional fee of £580 per module credit. However, students may add one language module for no extra fee.
All full-time students may add one language module for no extra fee.

Foundation degrees
Full-time continuing students studying for a foundation degree with our partner colleges will be charged £2,080 for 2012-2013.
Associate Students
- Continuing Associate Students (who started before September 2012): full-time associate fees are £4,560 per year.
- Continuing Associate ELQ (Equivalent or Lower Qualification) students who started before September 2012: full-time fees are £4,390 per year.
Work-placement (sandwich) years
If you take a work-placement year then you will be charged £680 for that year in 2012-2013
NHS-funded students
Government changes to undergraduate fees from 2012 do not affect our nursing, midwifery, occupational therapy, operating department practice or physiotherapy undergraduate courses, which are not currently subject to tuition fees.
Financial Support for Continuing Students 2012-2013
Tuition Fee Loan
The government will provide a loan to cover your full tuition charges. You or your parents don't have to contribute anything now
To apply for a tuition fee loan please contact Student Finance England. The application service for 2012-13 is now open. The deadline for applications, in order to receive your maintenance payments at the start of the academic year, is 29th June 2012. You can continue to apply after this date but there may be a delay in receiving your first maintenance payment.
Oxford Brookes Bursary
This scheme is open to full time degree students on £3,465 courses.Our bursary scheme is available to qualifying students for each year of their studies, and does not need to be paid back. It is available to all eligible UK students.
How much will the bursary be?
The Brookes bursary is determined using the same residual family income calculation that is used by the Student Loans Company to work out the amount of HE maintenance grant you receive. The Brookes Bursary is different depending on which year you join your course at the university.

The bursary will be paid in three instalments in 2012-13
- 5th November 2012 (25%)
- 8th February 2013 (25%)
- 15th April 2013 (50%)
You must be in full time attendance at the University on 24 September 2012, 24 January 2013 and 1 April 2013 to be entitled to each instalment of the bursary.
Applying
You don't need to apply - we will know if you are eligible from your means test for the HE maintenance grant. All eligible students who have not opted out of the "consent to share" part of their SLC sudent support application will automatically be assessed for a bursary.
Please note you must be means tested by the end of the academic year (31 August) to be entitled to claim your bursary for the current academic year. Students who consent to share their information, or who are means tested after the end of an academic year are no longer eligible to receive the previous year's bursary.
