Abbey Santander Scholarships

Abbey, part of the Santander Group, will be awarding postgraduate scholarships to Oxford Brookes University for master's students starting in 2009 and 2010.

Please note: application for this scheme for entry to the university in September 2009 is now OPEN. For application details, please see below.

Up to six scholarships of £5,000, and two of £3,000, will be given out to master’s students starting their programmes in 2009 and 2010.

The scholarship fund aims to reward the most academically gifted students from countries that are supported by the Santander Universidades scheme.

The award will be given to students from the following 11 countries:

Argentina
Brazil
Chile
Colombia
Mexico
Peru
Portugal
Puerto Rico
Spain
Uruguay
Venezuela

Oxford Brookes will also provide an extra award by covering 10% of the tuition fees for those students who will benefit from Abbey’s sponsorship.

Am I eligible?

To apply you must be:

a national from one of the 11 Santander network countries listed above
studying at, or a graduate from, a university in the Santander Universidades scheme
expecting to have, or already have, a good UK bachelor honours degree or equivalent degree from your home country
in possession of a formal offer to a full time master’s degree at Oxford Brookes University for the following year.
