International Exchange Scholarship 2011-2012
Oxford Brookes wants to ensure that all Brookes undergraduate students have the opportunity to go on an international exchange during their degree course.
UK undergraduate students who receive the maximum Oxford Brookes Bursary (£1,800) can also receive an extra £750 per semester to fund studies abroad, rising to a maximum of £1,500 over two semesters.
UK undergraduate Nursing Degree students who receive the maximum NHS bursary (£2,346 / £2810) can also receive an extra £750 per semester to fund studies abroad, rising to a maximum of £1,500 over two semesters.
Students on exchange for one semester
Eligibility
Open to UK students who are paying the full tuition fee (£3,375) and who are in receipt of the maximum Oxford Brookes Bursary (£1,800)
or
Open to Nursing Degree students who are in receipt of the maximum NHS bursary (£2,346 / £2810)
Award
A one-semester scholarship of £750 is available.
Students on exchange for two semesters
Eligibility
Open to students who are paying half a year’s tuition fee (£1,688) and who are in receipt of the maximum Oxford Brookes Bursary for the previous academic year (£1,800)
or
Open to Nursing Degree students who are in receipt of the maximum NHS bursary (£2,346 for students living at home or £2,810 for students living elsewhere)
Award
A two-semester scholarship of £1,500 is available.
Further details and conditions
- The scholarship is only available for non-European exchanges
- The scholarship is not available for Erasmus-funded exchange students
- UK Student must be / have been in receipt of the maximum Oxford Brookes full time bursary or NHS bursary
- Students must be on exchange on 1 December (semester one) or 1st April (semester two)
- Scholarships are to be paid on 20 December 2011 and 11 April 2012
- Nursing students can be on the Degree or Diploma course
- The scholarship is only available to students studying for their first degree.
- The scholarship is open to UK nationals (holding a UK passport) only.
- The scholarship is not available to students studying in Japan for the full year and receiving a discounted fee rate
