Santander sports scholarships
Oxford Brookes University is committed to the development of sporting excellence amongst its students, and each year offers a number of Sports Scholarships to students who show, or have shown, outstanding talent in their chosen sport.
The Sports Scholarship Scheme is very kindly supported by Santander, and is set up to support elite athletes throughout their time at university, whether they compete at international level or at regional and county level.
This invaluable support from Santander allows us to assist students in trying to balance the demands of academic study with high level participation in sport, to a level that may otherwise have not been possible.

Talented Athlete Scheme (TASS)
Oxford Brookes University also supports TASS (Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme), a government-funded programme that represents a unique partnership between sport and higher/further education. The partnership, between national governing bodies of sport and educational institutions, focuses on maintaining a balance between academic life and training as a performance athlete.
Which sports we focus on

- Hockey
- Rowing
- Rugby Union
However, talented athletes from any sport will be considered for scholarships.
