Tuition fee loan

Full-time students
As a UK student you can choose not to pay your tuition fees until after you graduate, and then only when you earn more than £15,000 per year.
You can take a tuition fee loan from the Student Finance England. Unlike a bank loan the interest is very low, so in real terms you'll only pay back what you borrow and at a manageable amount - nine percent of your salary above the £15,000 threshold. For example a graduate earning £18,000 per year will pay back just £5.19 per week.
Foundation course students can also take the tuition fee loan.
EU students can take a tuition fee loan. For more information on applying as an EU student please visit the Directgov website.
Please be aware that you must be in attendance at the University on 1 December to be entitled to a tuition fee loan. If you leave the University after week four of a semester and before 1 December you will have to pay the semester's fees yourself.
You can find out more about tuition fees and repayments on the Student Finance England website.
Part-time students
As a part-time student, you may be eligible for support with fees through Student Finance England. For information about funding for part time students please visit their website.

Many UK students will receive financial help in the form of a government HE maintenance grant of up to £2,906 (for 2009-10) per year. You will not have to repay this grant, and the amount awarded will depend on your household income.
The Government estimates around half of all new full-time students will be eligible for a full or partial grant, with just under one in every three students eligible for the full £2,906.
To apply for the HE maintenance grant contact Student Finance England as soon as possible after applying to university. Don't wait until you have a firm offer of a place.

If you've worked hard to get to university, we want to reward that commitment. The University offers three scholarship schemes: Brookes Academic Excellence Scholarships,Community Scholarships and the International Exchange Scholarships.
These scholarships are awarded in addition to the other forms of financial help we offer, including Brookes Bursaries.
Brookes Academic Excellence Scholarships 2009-2010
For students starting at the University between September 2007 and September 2009. If your academic achievements at school or college of further education are of the highest standard and you achieve top grades in your exams leading up to university entrance, then you are eligible for a Brookes Academic Excellence Scholarship.
Brookes Academic Excellence Scholarships 2010-2011
For students starting at the University from September 2010. If your academic achievements at school or college of further education are of the highest standard and you achieve top grades in your exams leading up to university entrance, then you are eligible for a Brookes Academic Excellence Scholarship.
Community Scholarships
We believe that there's far more to education than just doing well at exams. That's why Brookes has always recognised and rewarded non-academic kinds of achievements. Not everyone gets top grades, but we find that students with more purpose in life also have the potential to really succeed at university. As we'd like to encourage a wide range of students to apply to Oxford Brookes, we've introduced Community Scholarships.
International Exchange Scholarship
Oxford Brookes wants to ensure that all Brookes undergraduate students have the opportunity of going on an international exchange during their degree course. To encourage participation UK undergraduate students who receive the maximum Oxford Brookes Bursary and Nursing degree students who receive the maximum NHS bursary may be entitled to the International Exchange Scholarship.
Transition from care bursary
At Brookes we understand that students who have previously been in local authority care may have additional costs and needs when transferring to full time higher education. Therefore, if you are eligible for a HE Maintenance Grant from the Student Loan Company and spent a period of the time from the age of fourteen in local authority care you may be eligible for an additional bursary of up to £2,000 per annum.
This payment is made in two instalments, in December and March.
In the first instance you should contact Keith Cooper, Head of the University’s Student Services team to discuss in confidence your particular needs and establish your eligibility for a transition from care bursary.
