Undergraduate full-time tuition fees for UK/EU students: 2012-13
Tuition fees for full time undergraduate degree courses from 2012 have been set at £9,000 per year.
Foundation degrees
Full-time students studying for a foundation degree with our partner colleges will be charged £6,000 a year. You will then have the option to top up to a full bachelor's degree by carrying out just one year’s further study. Where offered at a partner college, this will be charged at £7,000; students coming to Brookes to top up will be charged £9,000.
Please note that foundation degree students studying on campus at Oxford Brookes University will pay £9,000 per year.
Work-placement (sandwich) years
If you take a work-placement year then you will be charged £2,000 (rather than £9,000) for that year.
Tuition loans
You don't have to pay for tuition up front. The government is providing loans to cover your full tuition charges. You or your parents don't have to contribute anything now – you start to pay them back yourself once you graduate and are earning at least £21,000 a year.
To apply for a tuition fee loan please contact Student Finance England. The application service for 2012-13 is now open.
If you would prefer not to take out a tuition fee loan, you do have the option of paying your tuition fees directly to the University.
Repaying your loans
Repayments will be 9% of any income above £21,000, so the amount you repay each month will depend on your earnings.
Examples of monthly repayments for loans covering tuition and living costs:
| Salary | Monthly Repayments |
|---|---|
| £21,000 | £0 |
| £21,500 | £4 |
| £24,000 | £23 |
| £25,000 | £30 |
| £27,000 | £45 |
| £30,000 | £68 |
Repayments will be deducted automatically from your pay packet. All outstanding repayments will be written off after 30 years.
NHS-funded students
Government changes to undergraduate fees from 2012 do not affect our nursing, midwifery, occupational therapy, operating department practice or physiotherapy undergraduate courses, which are not currently subject to tuition fees.
Associate Student Fees 2012-2013
- For new students starting in September 2012 or later: full-time associate fees are £9,000 per year.
