Street Band Gathering

An action-packed few days, starting on Friday 7th with “A Joyful Noise”; an afternoon of talks and discussions around street music. We hope this will be of interest not just to those playing in street bands but anyone in arts development and music education. On Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th we’ll get right down to two days of packed music-making with jam sessions, performances and guest workshops. Highlights include sessions by top New Orleans trumpeter Abram Wilson, a live link-up with the organiser of the US Street Band Festival HONK FEST, Saturday night performances around town and Pete Moser’s creation of a massed ‘street symphony’ for everyone involved. There’s lots more besides this so check out the website to find out full details.
