    Many staff at Brookes develop skills which are transferable to other kinds of jobs in the University.  Brookes is keen to encourage skilled staff who want to move on from their current job to consider how their skills could be used in a different role within the University which would provide them with renewed motivation and challenge.

    This half-day workshop will address these particular aspects of career development in the context of the bigger picture of developing your working life. 

    Topics will include:

    • Identifying your strengths, values and transferable skills
    • Job families and other options
    • Reading the job description and person specification for a vacant role
    • Writing an effective application
    • Preparing for an interview
    • Other career and personal development opportunities at Brookes
