Keeping you safe in Oxford
Oxford Brookes is part of the NightSafe Oxford Network, which brings together partners and organisations, including the police, CCTV operators, Street Pastors, Oxford City Angels, night bus drivers, taxi drivers and pubs and clubs to work together to make Oxford a safe and enjoyable destination for a great night out.
Brookes is proud to be a partner in the Safer Streets initiative, which has been developed as part of funding that Oxford City Council has received from the Home Office to address Violence Against Women and Girls.
The main aims of the Safer Streets project are:
To reduce the risk of violence against women and girls in Oxford City Centre and areas at the start and end of their journey
To develop a guardianship network in Oxford during the night-time economy to reassure and prevent incidents of violence against women and girls.
