Continuing Professional Development

We provide a wide range of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses in many industry sectors, from short courses to part-time master level qualifications. Many of these offer flexibility, allowing study to be integrated with work requirements so that both student and employer begin to benefit while study is ongoing.

Health and social care

Under our specialist portfolio, we offer a number of Healthcare CPD opportunities. From one-day masterclasses, workshops and short courses, to clinical and non-clinical academic pathways including undergraduate, post-graduate and doctoral level study.

We also offer Specialist Healthcare Consultancy designed to meet the sustainability and transformational needs of the health and social care workforce.

The Business School offers a wide variety of qualifications and accreditations through programmes on leadership, coaching and mentoring, and management development. 

Our accredited Global MBA develops your personal and professional expertise. You'll apply what you learn throughout your MBA as you focus on your current role and performance and how to further develop your future career.

The International Centre for Coaching and Mentoring Studies is an internationally recognised as a leader among academic centres for coaching and mentoring. The centre provides high quality coaching education from postgraduate certificates to doctoral level.

Education

We offer a range of professional development opportunities for teachers to enable you to help children and young people learn more effectively and achieve their potential.

The Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) is a professional course designed to allow students with a first degree to meet the standards for teacher training and gain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

The Centre for Educational Consultancy and Development (CECD) offers a wide range of CPD courses and consultancy services to schools and Early Years settings.

The Oxford Centre for Academic Enhancement and Development offers courses and other support for staff and educational development nationally and internationally, within higher education and the public sector, and internally at Oxford Brookes University.

Law

Our LLM in Legal Practice enables professional qualified graduates from England and Wales, or those with a common law heritage, to convert their professional law qualification into a masters degree. Examples of these include PG Dip in Legal Practice, LPC (Legal Practice Course), BPTC (Bar Professional Training Course).

Technology, Design and Environment

The School of Architecture offers courses leading to RIBA recognised qualifications such as the RIBA Examination in Professional Practice.

The School of Arts offer a variety of short courses in graphic design, photography, drawing and other arts disciplines.

The School of Built Environment have been running a highly successful programme in Planning and Planning-related subjects over many years, including Construction, Real Estate and Urban Design, from short courses to conferences and in-house training.
