  • You have an option of putting either a QR code or the quote on the reverse of the card. Please note this will cost extra. If you want something else on the back please contact commsservices@brookes.ac.uk

What is a QR code and how can I get an alternative one?

A QR code (Quick Response code) is a kind of bar code that allows you to embed different types of data which can be scanned using a smart phone. You can embed:

    • plain text
    • website url
    • SMS message
    • contact details (Vcard)
    • rich media (videos, photos, audio)

How do I read a QR code?

More recent smart phones have a QR code reader inbuilt but you will have to download an app for older phones.

You can download an app from  www.mobile-barcodes.com/qr-code-software/ There is a Quick Find Reader to the right of this page to find a reader suitable for your phone.

How do I generate a QR code?

There are many free sites where you can create your own QR code. We recommend  www.qrstuff.com. You simply click which type of data, enter the content and download your QR code which should be saved as a jpg and sent as an attachment with your business card request to stationery@brookes.ac.uk
