The Oxford Brookes Staff Disability Network invites everyone to join us online for our main event for Disability History Month 2021 Drawing on lived experience, research and activism, Nicole Brown will share insights on how ableism permeates higher education structures and practices. This interactive talk will provide practical ideas, learning from pandemic responses, and food for thought and discussion for more inclusive futures. Nicole is a Lecturer in Education at UCL Institute of Education and Director of Social Research and Practice and Education Ltd. Nicole gained her PhD in Sociology at the University of Kent for her research into the construction of academic identity under the influence of fibromyalgia.
