What are the challenges for the safe and healthy mobility of an ageing population in Oxfordshire - and how can they be overcome? Bindu Varkey introduces the concept of ‘Living Labs’ and the approach of the Living Oxford and MobOx organisations in harnessing the potential for healthy urban mobility. Graham Stanley, a member of the Future of Mobility Team within the Innovation Hub at Oxfordshire County Council explains how the Cities-4-People project in Barton used co-creation to design effective community transport. Kate Wilmut, a psychologist from Brookes, shares the evidence on the experiences and perceptions of individuals as they cross roads on foot. Ben Spencer, also from Brookes, turns to the potential health and wellbeing benefits of E-bikes in the mobility mix.
