An Afro-Caribbean in a Nazi camp is based on a book by author Mary Romney-Schaab, about the survival of her father Lionel, from a Nazi camp in the birthplace of Hitler in Austria.
How did Lionel travel from the Dutch Caribbean Island of St Maarten to a world away: a Nazi camp during World War II?
This is an insight into Black history and all of our history, as well as a daughter's love for her father.
Mary will share pointers into capturing history from elders and will deliver the illustrated talk from New York.
