Details

Los Angeles-based media artist and scholar Jeanne Jo discusses her research in modular cinema and her career progression from visual art to narrative filmmaking. Dr. Jo holds a Ph.D. in Cinematic Arts: Media Arts & Practice from the University of Southern California and an MFA in Digital+Media from the Rhode Island School of Design. She has crewed on major motion pictures for Marvel Studios and Bad Robot. Her short film, Tampoon, screened at festivals across the globe - including the Slamdance Film Festival, the Seattle International Film Festival, and Scream Queens FilmFest Tokyo, where it won the Audience Award in 2016. jeannejo.com
