Details

In the context of finite NHS resources and evidence of the importance of midwifery care for childbearing women, there are concerns about midwives leaving, women’s mixed experiences of maternity care provision, and the future of midwifery education. This conference offers multi-disciplinary clinicians, childbearing women, students and those interested in contributing to the future of maternity care a chance to hear about:

  • Drivers guiding midwifery practice and education in the UK and their impact on clinicians
  • Childbearing women’s expectations and experiences of maternity care
  • Best available evidence about models of care that benefit childbearing women and midwives
