This one-day workshop spans the entire arc of historical writing. It will cover the conceptual challenges of presenting the past credibly, to finding your voice and structuring your work, using your research while controlling your nattive, and getting published.

The workshop will be led by international bestselling novelist Sarah Dunant (Blood & Beauty, The Birth of Venus) with historian Professor David Nash (Blasphemy in the Christian World), and hosted by Peter Furtado (former editor History Today magazine).

For the final session, Getting Published, the team will be joined by literary agents and publishers for the latest insights into the publishing industry.

The course will be followed by a drinks reception until 19:00.

Cost: £130 (including tea/coffee, lunch and drinks reception).
