 This event is  open to all with an interest in the teaching of writing to children and follows on from the successful conference ‘ Teachers and Researchers talking about Writing’ in June,  which brought together the teachers, researchers and education  professionals involved in the recent workshops on teaching writing, held in Oxfordshire and other Local Authorities.The conference is being organised by Professor Vince Connelly and Dr Anna Barnett (Oxford  Brookes) and Professor Julie Dockrell (Institute of Education,University of London).

Our keynote speaker for the evening will be Professor Rhona Stainthorp talking about "Getting Ready to Write in Key Stage Three".  This talk will be followed by sessions on writing practices, assessing writing and  monitoring change in writing, led by the conference team and other education professionals.
A further conference will be held on Tuesday 22nd January, 2013.
