Union Hall & Gallery Space, John Henry Brookes, Headington Campus

Research ranging from the use of lasers to visualise plant responses to pests, the representation of food in 17th Century Dutch paintings and cult mindsets linked to the radicalisation of terrorists will be exhibited at Oxford Brookes this month.

Dozens of undergraduate and postgraduate-taught Oxford Brookes students will present their diverse work at the Get Published!Student Research Conference being held on Friday 15 April 2016.

This is the first time Oxford Brookes will have held a University-wide conference of this type and it will be one of the first in the country.

The event is being held from 12-2 pm in the Union Hall and Gallery space on the ground floor of the Headington Campus’ John Henry Brookes Building – no booking is required, just turn up on the day.

Free and open to students, staff and the wider community, attendees will see and hear about a diverse range of innovative research projects conducted by students during their time at Oxford Brookes.

The conference will be based around posters, with some space for alternative forms of presentation, in an informal marketplace. Students who are presenting their research at the conference will be on hand to explain their work and answer any questions.
