Details
Philip will read from his new book, La Belle
Sauvage. Following the reading, he will be
interviewed by Professor Simon Kövesi,
Head of English and Modern Languages at
Oxford Brookes. There will be a book signing after the event.
La Belle Sauvage is the first volume in The
Book of Dust, a companion to the global
bestselling series, His Dark Materials. The
story centres upon an 11-year-old boy called
Malcolm Polstead – who lives in an inn by
the Thames in Oxford. Attentive readers may
remember Malcolm’s brief appearance as a
university scholar in Lyra’s Oxford.
All seats in the John Henry Brookes Main Lecture Theatre are now fully booked.
This event will be live streamed to the Kennedy Lecture Theatre to enable as many people as possible to hear Philip speak. These seats are limited, so to book your place, email events@brookes.ac.uk
