John Henry Brookes Main Lecture Theatre, John Henry Brookes Building, Headington Campus

Tea Colaianni, Non-Executive Director of Mothercare, will discuss the most pressing issues facing women in business with Oxford Brookes Professor Simonetta Manfredi.

The Davies report and Hampton-Alexander review have set a target of 33% female representation among Board Directors and Executives of FTSE 100 companies by 2020. Are they likely to reach this target and why is it important to achieve greater gender diversity on company boards? What is the experience of women who already sit on these boards? Do they have a role in promoting change from within the corporate sector?

Tea and Simonetta will explore these questions and more in what promises to be a fascinating conversation about the need for greater gender diversity in British boardrooms.

This event is the Athena SWAN and International Women’s Day Lecture 2018 and is being hosted by Oxford Brookes Business School.
