Details
John Haynes OBE wrote and published his first book, on building an Austin 7 Special, whilst he was still at school in 1956. These days the company he
founded publishes manuals on everything from drum kits to the Large Hadron Collider - but continues to provide millions of people with a choice on how
they maintain and repair their cars.
J Haynes, John’s son, has led a transformation of the iconic publishing brand. Haynes’ business model has evolved to keep pace with dramatic changes in vehicle technology, vehicle ownership patterns and content delivery platforms. J will explain how the firm has changed - becoming a content, data and solutions business - while remaining true to its core founding principles.
J is Chief Executive Officer of Haynes Publishing Group. He is passionate about education and is a patron of Prospex, a charity that supports young people by providing them with access to learning opportunities. J is a Class of 1990 alumnus of Oxford Polytechnic.
