- Prospective students - postgraduate taught
Harcourt Hill Campus
The Postgraduate Certificate in Education (Post-Compulsory Education) is the professional qualification for those who wish to teach in the post-compulsory sector, which includes further education colleges and adult education. This course leads to QTLS, now equivalent to QTS.
The full-time course is designed for students who wish to enter the profession and can only be studied at our Harcourt Hill Campus.
The part-time course is designed for those already employed as teachers and trainers in the post-compulsory sector - this might be in further education, higher education, the health service, adult and community education, the prison service, the armed forces or private training providers. This course is studied at one of our partner colleges.
If you are interested in becoming a teacher in the post compulsory sector then come along to our Open Day and talk to lecturers about exactly what is involved when training to be a teacher on the PGCE (post compulsory) course.
The Subject talk takes place at 10.00 - 10.45am. You can then tour the Harcourt campus and drop into the Information Zone and find out about Finance, Admissions and Accommodation from one of our Advisors.
