Our one-year full time primary education PGCE course provides you with
the professional skills required to become an effective classroom practitioner
able to teach primary school children, in either the 3-7 or 5-11 age range and
you will qualify with Qualified Teacher Status.
The course content is based on a reflective and critical approach to
theory, policy and practice, through university-based teaching sessions and
substantial periods of practical placement in schools across the age ranges.
The increase in primary age school children ensures that career
prospects for trained primary teachers is excellent.
Come along to our Open Day and talk to lecturers about the course and to
PGCE students about exactly what is involved when training to be a Primary
school teacher on the PGCE course.
Subject sessions are at 10.00 - 10.45 and at 13.00 - 13.45. You can also
tour the Harcourt campus and drop into the Information Zone to talk to our
Finance and Admissions Advisors.
