Today tigers are in crisis for a number of inter-related reasons, some of which are the centre of much debate.  Conservation biologists are in agreement that without large-scale and rapid intervention they are likely to become extinct within a very short time period.  In this lecture Stewart Thompson will look at how we might best protect them and ask what chance do they really have in the protected areas which remain their stronghold?
