Details

Dr Jamie Bennett, the Governor of HMP Grendon & Spring Hill, talks about a unique approach to prison and rehabilitation - and asks “it could never work, could it?”

Grendon is the only prison operating entirely as a series of democratic therapeutic communities. It offers a radically different approach to the management of men who have committed serious offences. They are invested with trust and responsibility and helped to explore their own actions and experiences.

Find out about Dr Bennett’s success in managing a safer and more humane prison that also reduces reoffending.

This is the Brookes Society Annual Lecture.
