Oxford Brookes University rowers to represent Great Britain at the Tokyo Olympics

Four teammates from the Oxford Brookes University Boat Club have been selected to represent Great Britain this summer at the (rearranged) 2020 Tokyo Olympics Games.
Following their golden success at the World Cup II earlier this year, Rory Gibbs and Josh Bugajski, have been selected by British Rowing as part of the Men’s 4 and Men’s 8 respectively. Morgan Bolding and Matthew Tarrant have also been selected to attend the Games as spares.
Director of Rowing at Oxford Brookes Richard Spratley commented: “We are absolutely delighted and proud to see Rory, Josh, Morgan and Matt have been selected to be a part of Team GB at this Summer's Olympic Games. Through hard work and dedication they are thoroughly deserving of this achievement.”
Henry Bailhache-Webb Head Coach at Oxford Brookes added:“They are a huge inspiration to the rest of the Brookes Rowing team past and present and we are immensely excited to see how they perform on the greatest sporting stage.”
On the women's side, Oxford Brookes University alumna, Katherine Douglas, who began her rowing journey as a Brookes student in 2009, made the roster as part of the Women's 8.
