Business school study

Next Thursday 16 October students and staff are invited to the launch of the ‘Bite into Entrepreneurship’ programme at Oxford Brookes.

The programme has been organised by the Research and Development Office (RBDO) at Oxford Brookes and will involve a series of events and workshops for students and staff to introduce them to entrepreneurship.

The workshops will cover ‘What is an entrepreneur?’, ‘How to test and market your idea or product’ and ‘How to write a business plan’.

The programme will run throughout November and December at Thursday lunchtimes.

David Hartley, Commercial and Knowledge Transfer Manager in RBDO commented: “Increasingly, employment is not seen as the only way of earning a living and fulfilling your career ambitions.

“Our enterprise programme is intended to give a taster of what’s involved, and provide the support and encouragement to explore it further.

“We wanted to make the workshops as accessible as possible, hence the short lunchtime sessions.”

Students and staff are invited to attend the launch from 12.00pm until 2.00pm in JHB128, but are asked to register online in advance as places are limited.
