UKs leading modern university for the seventh year running: Sunday Times University Guide

'Strong teaching that no other modern university and few older universities can rival' saw Oxford Brookes named the UK’s leading modern university for the seventh year running by the Sunday Times University Guide.

The Sunday Times’ University Guide is one of the most respected league tables and looks at the performance of universities across the UK in fields like teaching, research, student satisfaction and graduate employment prospects.

Once again Oxford Brookes saw strong student satisfaction ratings and in graduate employment was rated 32 out of 124 for starting salaries – ahead of several of the older “Russell Group” universities.

The Sunday Times says: “Graduates’ starting salaries are £900 higher than the average and more than two-thirds go into graduate-level jobs.”

The University was also singled out for its sporting performance and in the Sporting Roll of Honour Oxford Brookes was named as the champion for men’s rowing.
