Steve Williams wins Olympic gold medal for second time.

Congratulations to Brookes alumnus and Honorary Graduate, Steve Williams, who has won an impressive second Olympic gold medal in the coxless four.

A member of the University's very successful boat club, Steve was first selected for the Great Britain National team in 1998, and first won Olympic gold in Athens in 2004.

And congratulations to Brookes alumni, Alastair Heathcote, Alex Partridge and to member of Oxford Brookes University Boat Club Tom Lucy, who were silver medal winners in the men's eights.

In the women's eights were Carla Ashford and Caroline O'Connor with the crew coming fifth ahead of Australia.

The men's lightweight fours included Brookes alumnus Richard Chambers and the team finished in fifth place.
