Places available on Brookes' free business training sessions at Skillsfest, Wednesday 1 July.

Places are still available on Brookes’ free business training sessions at Skillsfest taking place at the Kassam Stadium in Oxford on Wednesday 1 July.

Brookes is sponsoring the event which has been organised with partner colleges and institutions that make up the Oxfordshire Economic Partnership.

The Business School will be running two free one-hour taster sessions on developing business skills in the morning and afternoon. The sessions, entitled Developing a High Performance Culture, will consider how organisations can develop a culture which encourages and supports high performance. They will include practical tasks and discussions to enable attendees to take away action points for developing performance in their own workplace.

The Oxfordshire Economic Partnership’s aim is to promote the local economy. It works with education providers to encourage people to go on training courses, improve their skills and boost job prospects.

Skillsfest 2009 includes a range of training workshops and business mentoring sessions. More than 30 training organisations have stalls with staff on hand to chat and offer advice throughout the day.
