Asylum Welcome

Students from Oxford Brookes University are organising a fundraising evening on Friday 9 December to raise money for a local refugee charity.

The social event will be hosted by local DJ and will include a live band and raffle prizes. It will take place at Eurobar on George Street, Oxford and the money raised will go to Oxford-based charity, Asylum Welcome.

Student Amanda Cimiano Medina, who is studying an International Foundation Year and is one of the organisers for Friday’s event commented on why the group chose to raise money for this important cause: “From our side,  #WeAreInternational Foundation team chose the organization due to the great variety of services they provide such as legal advice, food services and education. The things we take for granted have become a humanitarian crisis for all those people and we want to do our bit and contribute a better future for them.”
