Oxford Brookes climbs 21 places in the Good University Guide 2019

Oxford Brookes University has climbed 21 places in The Times / Sunday Times Good University Guide 2019 published on Sunday 23 September. The result makes Oxford Brookes the third most improved institution in the rankings overall.

The University is also ranked in the top 25% in four subjects. These are Building (7th), Land and Property Management (2nd), Drama, Dance and Cinematics (21st) and Subjects allied to medicine (17th).

In addition, 26 subjects have improved their ranking in the guide. The most improved subjects include English (up by 25 places), Computer Science (up 24), Art and Design (up 15) and Nursing (up 13).

The Times / Sunday Times Good University Guide ranks 132 UK universities using measures such as the quality of teaching, student experience and graduate prospects.

Oxford Brookes University has seen a number of recent successes in university league tables.

In July, the National Student Survey (NSS) 2018 found the satisfaction of those studying at Oxford Brookes had improved, with  the University outperforming the national average.

In June, for the second year in a row, Oxford Brookes was hailed as the UK’s top university in the QS Top 50 Under 50 Ranking. The same month, the University was named the top UK university for both teaching and research in the Times Higher Education (THE) Young University Rankings 2018.
