Oxford Brookes University has been named as one of the top 50 young universities in the world by the QS World University Rankings 2018 – and is the only UK university to make the list.

The QS Top 50 Under 50 celebrates the world’s leading universities under 50 years old and this year includes institutions from 25 different countries.
Professor Alistair Fitt, Vice-Chancellor of Oxford Brookes University, said: “To be the only university in the UK listed in the top 50 under 50 is a clear signal of our international outlook and global standing.

“With our excellent reputation for teaching and support, and internationally recognised research, these latest rankings, in addition to our recent successes in other higher education rankings, demonstrate Oxford Brookes’ ability to compete with universities across the world and that our global status continues to grow.”

Oxford Brookes has celebrated a number of recent successes in both national and international higher education league tables. Earlier this year, the University was ranked “amongst the world’s top universities” in 16 subjects and was ranked in the top 20 UK institutions for nine subject areas in the Complete University Guide.

In April, Oxford Brookes was once again named as one of the world’s best “young universities” by THE and retained its top ten world ranking for its Global MBA programme. In both of these rankings, Oxford Brookes performed particularly well in its ability to attract international students.
