Oxford Brookes ranked in the top 20 UK institutions for nine subject areas

The Complete University Guide for 2018, which was published this week, has listed Oxford Brookes University in the top 20 institutions in the UK for nine subject areas.

Among the nine subjects, three were listed in the top ten including courses related to Building (ranked at number 6), Land and Property Management (5) and Hospitality, Leisure, Recreation and Tourism (10).

The University also scored highly for Student Satisfaction and Graduate Prospects in the Guide. Vice-Chancellor of Oxford Brookes University Professor Alistair Fitt said: “Oxford Brookes has enjoyed a number of recent successes in national and international higher education rankings, including being named as one of the world’s best young universities and listed amongst the world’s top universities in 16 subjects.

These rankings further demonstrate our global reputation for teaching, support and internationally recognised research.

Other subject areas the University was listed in the top 20 for include Occupational Therapy (11), East and South East Asia Studies (14), Agriculture and Forestry (15), Physiotherapy (16), Architecture (17) and Town and County Planning (20).

Earlier this week and for the fourth year running, Oxford Brookes University retained its top ten world ranking for its Global MBA programme and earlier this month was once again named as one of the world’s best “young universities".

In both of these recent rankings, Oxford Brookes performed particularly well in its ability to attract international students.

Oxford Brookes’ excellent global reputation was cemented further with improved recognition of the quality of its courses in the latest QS World

University Rankings by Subject where it was found that Oxford Brookes “ ranked amongst the world’s top universities in 16 of the 46 subjects and four subject areas”.
