Oxford Brookes rises by 15 places in Complete University Guide 2020

The latest university rankings have been published today (1 May 2019) with Oxford Brookes recognised as one of the UK’s top performers.
The compilers of the Complete University Guide 2020 highlighted Oxford Brookes as being amongst the country’s “notable climbers” with an improvement of 15 places. Only four universities increased their ranking position by a greater number.
Professor Alistair Fitt, Vice-Chancellor, commented: “This ranking success is recognition of our upward trajectory and the improvements we continue to make. Our students benefit from excellent teaching and support delivered in inspiring campuses, and this accolade is further evidence of the value of studying for a degree at Oxford Brookes.
“Many students are currently considering where to study and I have no doubt that this ranking success will be a further reason to join the Oxford Brookes community and achieve great things.”
Now placed in 51st in the rankings, the accolade is just the latest in a series of recent rankings successes for Oxford Brookes.
In February, Oxford Brookes’ global reputation for the quality of its teaching was recognised in the latest QS World University Rankings by Subject. The 2019 rankings found that Oxford Brookes is ranked amongst the “world’s top universities” in 12 subjects.
For the second year in a row Oxford Brookes was hailed as the UK’s top university in the latest QS Top 50 Under 50 Ranking. The University moved up to 40th in the world within the rankings and is again the only UK institution to make the list.

Oxford Brookes was recognised as the top UK university for both teaching and research in the Times Higher Education Young University Rankings 2018. The University also climbed nine places in the latest Guardian University Guide and 21 places in The Times/Sunday Times Good University Guide 2019.
This is in addition to Oxford Brookes Business School improving on its top ten position in the latest ranking of the world’s best online Master’s in Business Administration (MBA). The QS World University Rankings: Distance Online MBA found that for the fifth straight year the Oxford Brookes’ Global MBA has been ranked amongst the world’s ten best institutions and now sits in seventh place.
