Oxford Brookes University joins UK Government delegation in India

Paul Inman, Pro Vice Chancellor, today joined a high-profile UK government ministerial visit to India.
The delegation is being led by Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills Sajid Javid MP and Minister of State for Universities and Science Jo Johnson MP.

Paul will join Jo Johnson MP and senior staff from a range of UK universities in visiting key institutions in Dehli, Bangalore and Mumbai over three days (Wednesday 9 – Friday 11 December 2016). All three of the Indian cities feature in the UN's top 100 most populated cities.
Speaking ahead of the visit, Paul commented: “Oxford Brookes is rightly proud of its international reputation and this visit is an excellent opportunity to further improve connections with this prospering country.
“We have been encouraged by recent media stories that international students will be excluded from future official migration figures as they are vital to the enduring success and competitiveness of higher education in the country.
“I have no doubt that this visit will be an excellent chance to hear more about how we may collaborate with colleagues in India and further encourage educational achievements for students within both of our countries.”
