Thirty five postgraduate students receive scholarships to study Master's programmes.

The achievements of 35 postgraduate students awarded scholarships to study Master’s programmes starting in September 2008 were officially recognised at a presentation on Friday 14 November 2008.

Scholarships were awarded to applicants based on academic excellence and were available through the John Henry Brookes Graduate School and International Scholarship Schemes, as well as schemes operated by individual Schools and also by Abbey Santander.

Representatives from Abbey Santander who attended the event were pleased to meet the students who had benefited from the company’s support.

Lynn Williams, and Kirsty Jones, wife and daughter of the late Simon Williams, Dean of the Business School 1999-2005, presented two international students with the Simon Williams Memorial Scholarships.

Head of the Graduate School, David Evans, congratulated the students who were successful in gaining awards: “We’re pleased to be able to offer the scholarship schemes through the university and external organisations. They make an important difference to our students and are a real mark of their talent and dedication.”
