Brookes Bulls Captain Josh Banham said: “I’m personally excited, it’s something I wanted to achieve and very pleased for all the lads. It’s going to be tough, but there’s the challenge to rise to and I’m sure we will support and drive each other on to improve and meet that challenge head on.”
Ryan Cousins, Rugby League Inspires General Manager commented: “It’s a very positive and progressive position we’ve got now.
“We have had a couple of students in the past but to get a core group of the students pushing to play rugby league at a higher level, shows confirmation of our commitment to discover outstanding athletes and develop them into real league players.
“This will enhance Oxford Brookes University’s reputation as the place to be to fulfil ambitions academically and athletically.”
