From 18-24 March, Oxford Brookes is running 'Poetry on the Bus' - a special week of events designed to spark people's interest in poetry.

Have you ever wanted to see a poem of yours in print? Wondered what it would be like to have thousands of people read it? Well, here's your chance...

From 18-24 March, Oxford Brookes is running 'Poetry on the Bus' - a special week of events designed to spark people's interest in poetry.

We're looking for original poems to turn into posters which will be put up on the Brookes buses during the week in March. Many of those that don't make it onto the posters will be published on the Poetry on the Bus website, or turned into leaflets.

The poems must be on the subject 'Oxford Journeys', and need to be 60 words or fewer. The deadline is Friday 16 February. The editors are looking for relevance to the topic (though this can be interpreted in any way you like), originality, and impact on the reader.

Poems can be submitted by anyone, not just Oxford Brookes students, and can be submitted in a number of ways:

  • Email to Rachel Buxton, either as an attachment or in the body of the email. Please put 'Poetry on the Bus' as the subject heading
  • 'Poetry on the Bus'
