• Brookes and water

When it comes to utility costs, water is second only to energy. Our water usage is monitored through an online web portal, allowing us to compare data across our campuses and be detect costly pipe leaks.

Refurbishing our existing building stock represents a great opportunity to make things better we have invested in rainwater harvesting and low-flow figures through our estate.

    What can I do?

Not wasting water is easy; here are some little things you can do to make a difference:

    Working with water

We recognise that water is one of the issues of the future. As well as developing effective and efficiency ways to use water, we are working with Thames Water making sure that Brookes is compliant with water regulations. If you have any ideas about how we can save water, contact the sustainability team on sustainability@brookes.ac.uk
