Information for students

Local alert levels

We understand you may be feeling anxious about your student life and the impact coronavirus will have on your studies, family, friends and community. Here you can find the answers to frequently asked questions and links to further information, resources and support.

The University is undertaking extensive work to ensure that students, staff and essential visitors are safe on their return to campus in Semester 1. This encompasses many different areas - from risk assessments and enhanced cleaning, to social distancing measures and modifications to reduce campus footfall.

We have published a Five Steps process to working safely at Oxford Brookes. This aligns with Government guidance on reopening workplaces and will be implemented from September.

For an overview of how we're planning for teaching, assessment and student services to be delivered from September, please see our dedicated webpages for the new academic year here.

NEW - Visitors policy

Face coverings

It is now widely accepted that wearing a face covering helps protect others. For this reason, everyone (students, staff and visitors to campus) will be required to wear face coverings while indoors on campus (except where there is a valid medical reason).

All students coming to campus must understand and comply with the University’s Face Coverings Policy
