    The School of the Built Environment awards a limited number of scholarships which are awarded on a competitive basis to UK, EU and international postgraduates each year.

    Postgraduate Scholarships


    The scholarships listed below are designed to offer a funding award set against the cost of tuition fees for a Master’s degree within the Faculty, and do not include a contribution towards living costs, travel, text books, or other ancillary items.

    The number of scholarships listed here are the totals available across the Faculty of Technology, Design and Environment to which the School of the Built Environment belongs.

  • RTPI Future Planners Bursary Programme 2019

    The RTPI Future Planners Bursary programme is open to graduates from any discipline who enrol on a planning Master's degree at an RTPI-accredited Planning School in Scotland and England. You could receive a £2,000 bursary.

    Eligibility criteria 

    Prospective students must:- 

    • be a UK/EU citizen and have proof of eligibility to work in the UK or Ireland after graduation;
    • have a First or Upper 2nd class degree at undergraduate level in any discipline;-
    • demonstrate an interest in town planning as a career;-
    • have an offer for 2019-20 on a fully accredited planning Master's degree at Oxford Brookes University.

    How to apply for the bursary

    Potential applicants for the RTPI Future Planners bursary should send a personal statement, not exceeding 500 words, outlining why you wish to pursue a career in planning and any other or special considerations that you would wish us to take into account.

    Your statement should be submitted as an attachment and your email and statement header should be in the following format:

    Statements should be emailed to the Programme Administrator, Tracey Isaac (tisaac@brookes.ac.uk) and be received no later than midday on 30 August 2019.
