Biology students society awards

The Department of Biological and Medical Sciences would like to congratulate ‘The Biology Students Society’ who recently won the 'Best New Students’ Society' at the Oxford Brookes Student Union Awards.

The Department of Biological and Medical Sciences would like to congratulate ‘The Biology Students Society’ who recently won the 'Best New Students’ Society' at the Oxford Brookes Student Union Awards.

Sarah Evans, the ‘Biology Students’ Society’ president said, “We are very proud and excited to have won the award! The purpose of the society is for biology students to have somewhere they can go when they first join. We endeavour to provide both educational and recreational opportunities to our members running frequent events and study support groups and also focusing on opportunities to further post-grad employability. All of these points drew the attention of the SU and we think that is why we won the award.”

Sarah Evans received the award on behalf of the 180 members of ‘The Biology Students Society’ on the 26th March at the Randolph Hotel.
