My name is Simon Mace. I’m 49 years old, and am a Brookes Sport ambassador. I am also into my eighth year after being diagnosed with a very aggressive cancer which has had serious effects on my mobility.
Before my diagnosis I was cabin crew for British Airways, and enjoyed a very active life – both through sport and socially.
One of my passions was sport, fitness and health. I was also a very keen swimmer and would go as often as I could - you could often find me running too.
A lot of this has changed since my cancer diagnosis, which I’ll write more about in future posts.
