For those who love the both the outdoors and being with animals, equestrian (horse riding) offers great exercise in a social, relaxing environment.
Our Equestrian Club has two competitive teams, which compete in Dressage, Show Jumping and Cross Country, in BUCS and other competitions. The club trains at local stables an there is no need for your own horse since all competitions are run on riding school/borrowed horses and judged on riding style rather than the ability of the horse.
The club welcomes riders of all abilities from beginners to internationals and offers friendly, social atmosphere for anyone who wants to ride, whether competitively or through Brookes Active.
If you would like to compete for Brookes or train with the club then the best time to sign up is at our annual Sports Fair held on the Wednesday of Fresher's Week 19 September. If you can't make the Sports Fair but want to join a club then please complete this form. For all other sports club enquiries email email@example.com
Many sports are are included in our Brookes Active 'get into...' programme providing a low cost way to try a new sport or activity.
Each year we offer a number of sports scholarships with the support of Santander to students who show, or have shown, outstanding talent in their chosen sport.
Membership of a club includes allocated training and competition. To make full use of the facilities Brookes has to offer consider taking out a monthly or pay as you go membership with Brookes Sport »
