Our Running and Athletics Club encompasses track and field, cross country and road running, with opportunities for all abilities to take part at both representative, competitive and recreational levels at Brookes.
The team enters a wide range of local and national competitions each year and the track team train at Iffley Road Stadium, the site of Sir Roger Bannister's famous first sub-4 minute mile.

Whatever your speed, parkrun is a great way to to set yourself a goal and track your improvement all for free. There are two parkruns in Oxford every Saturday at 9am with one taking place at our very own Harcourt Hill Campus »
The Road Running team caters for longer distance runners, from 10k up to Marathons. As well as national events, the team enters lots of locals events, such as the Oxford Town & Gown 10k, Blenheim Rotary 10k, Oxford Half Marathon, Reading Half, Teddy Hall Relays and Oxford Mota-Vation Series.
The Track and Field team welcome athletes of all abilities, from beginner to performance, to work with qualified coaches. The team currently specialise in track events, however, we are always looking for field event athletes and have links with several of the local athletics clubs in and around Oxford.
The team competes in the BUCS Indoor and Outdoor Championships, as well as other open meets.
The Cross Country team welcomes social and competitive runners of all abilities. In addition to BUCS, the team compete in the Oxford Main League and the South of England and National Championships.
If you would like to compete for Brookes or train with the club then the best time to sign up is at our annual Sports Fair held on the Wednesday of arrivals weekend in Semester 1. If you can't make the Sports Fair then please email email@example.com
Many sports are are included in our Brookes Active 'get into...' programme providing a low cost way to try a new sport or activity.
Each year we offer a number of sports scholarships with the support of Santander to students who show, or have shown, outstanding talent in their chosen sport.
