Walk

Thursday 3rd October will see the very first of the weekly Brookes Sport Walk and Talk sessions of the new academic year.

The session gives Oxford Brookes staff and students an easy opportunity to get active by exploring the local area, as well as having a chat with some people you might not otherwise meet.

Heading out from in front of the JHB at 12pm, the first walk will take around 30-40 minutes - although there is the opportunity to stop of to pick up a coffee or slice of cake halfway through!

For a more detailed description of the route, please click on the button below.

The walk will go ahead rain, wind or shine, and as an added sweetener we’ll also be giving out free pedometers to anyone who turns up to the first walk (there are a limited supply so we’ll have to hand these out on a first come first served basis and you may want to allow a few extra minutes to set up the device before we head off).

Come along, explore the local area, meet some new people, and enjoy.

The walk will be leaving at 12pm from the front of the campus – just look out for the eager looking chap with the bright yellow backpack near the bollards.

If you’d like any more information on the Walk and Talks, please get in touch with mark.mackintosh@brookes.ac.uk.

We’re also keen to host walks around the whole of the Brookes estate and welcome anyone who might be able to volunteer at Harcourt Hill, Swindon or Wheatley. If you can help, please get in touch at the email address above.

See you there!
